Message from Flesch (Artist): I ran across this scene down by the catboat club in 2005. These catboats were done for the day and tied up to the coconut trees on the shore. I wanted to capture the rich culture and tradition of Cayman’s catboats. Catboats are an integral part of the Cayman Islands’ maritime heritage. These small, skillfully crafted vessels were originally used for fishing and turtling. It’s a beautiful blend of tradition and modernity, offering a glimpse into the island’s rich history. Prints of original oil paintings by local artist Karen Flesch (née Tomlinson). Each print measures roughly 8 x 10", within an 11 x 14" matte frame.  Available framed or un-framed.
