Message from Flesch (Artist): Inspired by John Clarke, a Caymanian artist, I found solace during the pandemic through painting. As a healthcare worker in Chicago at the time, I couldn’t travel home and it was a scary and dark time. Painting allowed me to feel connected to the bright, vibrant colors of the Caribbean, bringing a sense of home and joy into my life.
