Like the people of the Cayman Islands, the wild banana orchid is resilient. It’s adapted to thrive in the tough conditions of its native limestone rock formations and coastal areas. This orchid can withstand periods of drought and thrives with minimal care, making it a strong symbol of endurance and grace, a perfect embodiment of the people of Cayman. This is the Grand Cayman Wild Banana Orchid. Prints of original oil paintings by local artist Karen Flesch (née Tomlinson).
